  LEFT: Solution pits, formed when small pools of rainwater dissolve the gypsum.

  CENTER: Solution pits and rills on the wall of a collapse sink, formed when
  gypsum is dissolved and carried off the rock surface by dripping rainwater.

  RIGHT: Rillenkarren, parallel rills or furrows separated by sharp ridges, formed
  when rainwater dissolves the gypsum and washes downslope in a constant direction.
